Welcome to my website! This will be the main spot to find out about all things related to Ron Christopher Jones! Be sure and look around – there are some interesting and fun pictures, videos, and surprises within this site. But first, a little about Ron.
Ron was born and raised in San Diego, California to parents, Norma and Clyde, who immigrated to the U.S. from Barbados, W.I. in the Caribbean. It is Ron’s “Bajan” roots on which he relies, to pursue his dreams, and accomplish his goals. Upon graduating with a B.F.A. in Acting, from United States International University (USIU), Ron spent the next decade traveling the country, performing mostly in musicals; most notably opening the Champaign Theatre in Branson, Missouri. There he had the pleasure of working with the stars of the Lawrence Welk Show, such as The Lennon Sisters, the legendary tap dancer, Arthur Duncan, the insanely talented ragtime piano player, Joanne Castle, Jack Imel, and many others. Ron still keeps in touch with many of them today.
He performed in Play On! at the Pasadena Playhouse, which subsequently toured through Tucson and Phoenix, and was ultimately filmed by PBS as part of their Great Performances series. Ron also played the roles of Buzz, Papa, and Grandpa Who, at the Old Globe Theatre in How the Grinch Stole Christmas (4 years).
As Ron’s deepest passion has always been TV and Film, he is now focused on that aspect of his career. His latest short film in which he starred, The List, won the Los Angeles 48-Hour Film Project (48HFP), and is continuing on to the 48HFP World Competition in Atlanta, March 2-5, 2016. Additionally, Ron is a consultant with Arimaw Productions, writing shows for corporate events, and theme parks.
Ron is married to the love of his life, the lovely and beautiful Marylynn, and they have a gorgeous angel of a daughter, Maisie.
